My boyfriend and I are from Washington and have been spoiled with excellent mexican food our whole lives. When I moved here I had been so sorely disappointed by every single mexican restaurant in Missoula (and Montana in general). Let me tell you... this was our first time at Plaza Azteca and they blew us away! Excellent cocktails, the table side guacamole is a must and both our entrees were absolutely delicious! We can’t wait to go back!

Hands down the BEST Mexican restaurant in MT. All the food we have tried has Real Flavor and is seasoned!!

A great atmosphere. Thought we would beat the rush by going in a bit earlier, little did we know - this is a happening place. Although our party didn't have to wait long to be seated. The waiter was very helpful, although his accent was a bit hard to understand at times. The authenticity was great! Along with the standard chips and salsa you're going to get at any Mexican restaurant, they have a fresh guacamole cart that will make it right before your eyes! The food was good and I would say about the same prices you're going to pay anywhere else.

The whole experience was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were the perfect compliment and were kept full. Our server, Crue was the mic drop to the whole experience! Best service we have had in Missoula for years! 10/10. Keep up the fabulous work, we will be back.

For Valentine’s Day Daughter suggested Plaza Azteca Missoula for supper. She had been there before and loves the food. She called ahead and was told there would be room. Was very busy, parking lot was full people waiting. We found two chairs at bar. I ordered the flight, that had four different margaritas. Also right at your table fresh prepared guacamole. Check out videos included in review. He’s fast and guacamole was so tasty. The chips and dips that started the meal were very good. My meal was Seafood Chimichangas. 2 fried flour tortillas,filled with Shrimp and Crab meat, drizzled with creamy cheese sauce, lobster bisque, and sour cream. With rice and beans. Sure making me hungry . Daughter ordered Birria Tacos. 3 corn tortillas dipped in consome. Stuffed with beef birria,queso Chihuahua, chopped onions and cilantro. With a side of consome. The waiter we had was very helpful in helping us deside what to order. There’s lots of choices. Food arrived fast and hot. Didn’t take long. Place was clean and the wait was not long. They sure did a great remodel on the old Jakers restaurant. Can’t wait to get back and try another plate of Mexican food.

Holy cow! (And holy shrimp, and holy chicken) This place does NOT skimp on the meat! Very generous protein portions. Me and my senorita have gone here twice since they took over the spot where Jakers used to be, and we've been impressed, pleased, and stuffed both times. I give it a 9.6 out of 10, I have a couple very small specific complaints, nothing major. For instance, the table side avocado cart is loud and rattles a lot while he's pushing it around. No biggie. The guac itself was delicious, and he was great at tableside, so it's not too big a deal. Their drinks are super delicious, and the food portion was so generous I ate on it for three days after. Would highly recommend. It's not the *most* romantic place, as the music is more upbeat and casual, but the decor is great, and the tables are cozy for good conversation. Food came out super fast too. Would highly recommend. One of the best new restaurants in Missoula!

This is 3rd time I have been here and it is excellent! The food is always delicious and fresh. Service, on point, and polite. The restaurant is clean and always bustling. Highly recommend!

Zero Complaints. Service was quick and attentive. Food was phenomenal. So hot and fresh. Amazing flavors. Not your typical Montana Mexican food. Highly recommend and will return soon.
